Merrimack Paddles and Paddle Bags
Merrimack Paddles.
Although there is a whole world of canoe paddle design and construction, we like to keep things simple. This classic is made for us in Canada from selected black cherry. Each paddle is hand-shaped and finished into a modified otter tail design that is comfortable and a pleasure to use. Lightweight, yet strong and beautiful. The blades are 5-1/4″ by 24″. The shaft is oval in shape and is topped with a traditional football-shaped grip. Has a hidden reinforcing tip insert. Finish is four coats of marine polyurethane.
Available in lengths of 54, 56, 58, 60, 62, and 64 inches. $139 each.
Note: A fine paddle should never be used to push or pry off rocks, or the ground!
Merrimack Paddle Bag.
Our paddle bag is made of wax-wear canvas. This great fabric has been used for years to make packs, tents, hats and other items that will see heavy use, need to repel water, and yet need to “breath”. Fully lined, with a center partition to separate and protect two paddles while in transit or storage. Fold-over cover flap ties closed and sports a leather Merrimack logo. Will carry two paddles up to 64″ in length, with up to 8″ wide blades.
The more use it gets, the better it looks! $89.
Made in U.S.A.
